This policy explains how Nero Collectibles (ABN 83 428 915 761) collects, uses and shares personal information through nerocollectibles.com and when you buy from us or sell to us. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. Information we collect

  • Contact details: your name, billing and delivery addresses, email address and phone number.
  • Order information: the products you view, add to your cart, buy or return, and your order history.
  • Payment information: payment and transaction details. Card payments are handled by our payment processors, and we do not store your full card number.
  • Account information: your login details and preferences, if you create an account.
  • Communications: messages you send us by email, phone, social media or through the website.
  • Device and usage information: your IP address, browser and device type, and how you use the website, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Information when you sell cards to us: your name and contact details, payment details so we can pay you, and identification where we ask for it.

2. How we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you place an order, create an account, join our mailing list, contact us or sell cards to us. We collect device and usage information automatically when you use the website. We also receive information from service providers, such as our payment processors and the marketplaces we sell on.

3. How we use it

We use personal information to:

  • process, pack and deliver your orders, and handle returns and refunds;
  • manage your account and respond to your questions;
  • buy cards from you and pay you;
  • send marketing emails or messages, where you have agreed to receive them;
  • show and measure advertising, and understand how the website is used so we can improve it;
  • detect and prevent fraud and keep the website secure; and
  • meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed to run the business:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes order data;
  • payment processors, to take and refund payments;
  • shipping carriers, such as Australia Post, to deliver your order;
  • marketplaces we sell on, such as eBay and Whatnot, for orders placed there;
  • accounting, email and analytics providers that help us run the business;
  • advertising partners, where cookies are used to show or measure ads; and
  • government bodies, regulators or law enforcement, where the law requires it or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers, including Shopify, store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States, Canada and Ireland. By using the website you understand that your information may be handled overseas by these providers.

6. Cookies and analytics

The website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how the website is used and support advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the website may not work properly if you do.

7. Marketing

We send marketing emails or messages only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email or by contacting us. We will still send messages about your orders and account.

9. How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Order and transaction records are kept for at least 5 years to meet Australian tax record-keeping requirements. We delete or de-identify information we no longer need.

10. Access and correction

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing support@nerocollectibles.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.

11. Children

The website is not directed at children. If you are under 18, please use the website and make purchases only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian can contact us to ask that we delete a child's information.

The website may link to other websites and social media. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and their own policies apply.

13. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, email support@nerocollectibles.com. We will look into it and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy and will publish the new version on this page with a revised date.
